Who doesn’t love #cantucci?! 🤎 Typical sweets of the #Tuscan tradition to munch on or dip in #vinsanto 🍷 I fondly remember our first holiday in Florence and the cantucci feasts in the evening at the #restaurant. We love them, both in the classic version with #almonds, and in the more mouth-watering one with lots of #chocolate 🍫 Obviously, knowing me, I couldn’t help but prepare them this way… 😋

Ingredients
- 300 g flour 1
- 2 eggs
- 100 g butter
- 190 gr caster sugar
- One teaspoon of yeast
- Chocolate drops q.b.
- A pinch of salt
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 180° and pour the sifted flour, baking powder and chocolate chips into a bowl. Set aside.
Work the soft butter (not cold from the fridge) with the sugar until creamy.
Add the eggs and the previous ingredients + a pinch of salt.
Knead quickly until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.
With the help of a little flour, form loaves about 2 cm high. Line two baking trays with baking paper and bake for about 35 minutes, until golden brown. Cut the loaves with a serrated knife ‘across’ to make ‘slanted bars’.
Bake your cantucci again for another 10 minutes, turning them halfway through.
Note
Leave to cool and store in a dry place.
