- 30 BISCUITS
The #cattongues are one of my favourite biscuits of all time. A few simple ingredients for a confectionery product that is nothing short of extraordinary, one that will please everyone, even the most discerning palates 😋 Thanks to Maestro #igniomassari, I discovered that the technical term, in #pastry, for these delicious #biscuitsis ‘cigarette mass’ (due to their flat, narrow and elongated shape). Making them is not so difficult: just follow a few simple precautions. Ready to take notes?
Ingredients
- 50 gr flour 1
- 50 gr egg whites
- 60 gr icing sugar
- 50 gr soft butter
Preparation
In a bowl, add the soft butto and icing sugar, stirring with a spatula. Incorporate the egg whites and mix again until creamy. Add the flour and mix again until a soft mass is obtained. Put the mixture into a piping bag with a smooth 10 mm nozzle and make sticks about 10 cm long on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Bake in a ventilated oven preheated to 190° for about 8 minutes. The cat’s tongues are now ready. Remove from the oven.
Note
Before moving your cat tongues from the tray to the baking tray, wait until they have cooled completely… otherwise, there is a risk that they will break!
